STAY WARM WITH BARRELL BOURBON

At Barrell Craft Spirits, all our products, Barrell Bourbon, Barrell Whiskey and our most recent new addition – Barrell Rum are limited releases. We bottle at cask strength to emphasize the complexity and concentration of flavor. Undiluted and “lightly” filtered, it’s as close to drinking directly from the barrel as you can get. And every one of our products is intentionally different so we can constantly bring new and unique flavor experiences to you, our customers. Batch 009 Our latest release - Barrell Bourbon Batch 009 – is our oldest expression to date. This straight Bourbon Whiskey was distilled with a mash bill of 74% corn, 18% rye, 7% malted barley and then aged in Tennessee and Kentucky for 13 years. It was bottled in Kentucky at 112.10 proof – our oldest and also lowest proof bourbon. With a barrel entry proof of 120 the resulting loss of proof resulted in a bourbon that has a mellow warmth with distinctive tropical fruit notes that makes this bourbon easy to enjoy. The bourbon drinker that likes a full barrel proof taste without the high rye rick house heat will find this one appealing. Intensely flavorful with a long finish.

Batch 008

Barrell Bourbon Batch 008 is a straight Bourbon Whiskey distilled in Tennessee with a mash bill of 70% corn, 25% rye, 5% malted barley, and aged in for 9.5 years. It was bottled in Kentucky at 132.8 proof. It’s an oak bomb that’s full bodied and complex, while unbelievably accessible for 132.8 proof. It’s a spicy whiskey, but not as sweet as the nose suggests. It falls high on the spicy and dry scale. We think you’ll love it!

And now for something Completely Different – Barrell Rum Batch 001

We’ve added something truly unique to our portfolio. Barrell Rum Batch 001 is a Jamaican pot still rum distilled and aged in Jamaica for 7 years in previously used bourbon barrels, then crafted and bottled in Kentucky at 134.73 proof. We then transferred it to our 9 year-old bourbon barrels for that finishing touch. It’s a lush sensory experience that encapsulates the Jamaican terroir. The appearance is burnished copper in the glass, with tinges of deep brown and raw honey at the core. The nose is INTENSE vanilla and charred coconut with undercurrents of fine tobacco beneath the surface. The palate is wood smoke, hazelnut, butter and nutmeg. This is a very limited release, so get it while you can.
